After struggling with my own body image, I decided to create an organization that shifts the narrative of what is considered the standard of beauty in women.

 

My goal is to reinforce positive body images in women, especially

those residing predominantly in communities of color.

 

Thus, The Thick Girl Gang was born. It bears the same name as one of my brands, but it is destined to become something bigger.

 

The plan of The Thick Girl Gang is to not only decrease body dysmorphic ideas, but to also increase self esteem and change the negative ways we see ourselves.

 

We are beautiful, we are amazing and we can do anything! And always remember, “You did not wake up this morning to hate your thighs!”
